Sheffield Ethiopian COVID-19 Support and Empowering Project (SEEP)

 

This is a unique novel project to help most disaffected Ethiopian people residing in Sheffield. Currently there are about 2000 people living in Sheffield. There are number of things the SEEP project will help during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

  1. provide correct advice to disaffected Ethiopian people who need to know how to obtain legal status as asylum seeker and refugee.

  2. Those Ethiopians who are already legally staying in Sheffield will receive advice on education, health, schooling and employment.

  3. In-house training such as raising commuter and language skills will also be delivered.

  4. Those Ethiopians who have false belief and myth regarding COVID-19 will be provided   with proper guidance.

  5. The Ethiopian families with children will be invited to small seminar and small function to understand the Ethiopian culture.

  6. Anyone else from any other community requesting any form of help such as advise on benefits during COVID-19 will be welcomed.

DIFFERENCE: The project will empower all Ethiopian and any other community participants with the pleasure of disseminating relevant information from experienced project staff and tutor and make a significant difference to participants lives.

 

BENEFIT: This project is to support Ethiopian and people from other community who do not know where and how to get very important information during COVID-19 lockout and post pandemic period.

 

LENGTH: The project will be run for one year, starting during the COVID-19 lock down period and continuing during the post COVID-19 period.

 

PROMOTION: The promotion and marketing connecting to the SEEP project will be based on high quality broadcasting advert, posters, texts, e-mail and what’s up shots.

 

LEARNING: Its outcome for future progress will be analytically assessed from appraisals and feedbacks.

 

FUTURE: It is very much anticipated to continue the project for a long time once the funding is concluded.
